Classroom Display - #RefugeeCrisis2015
To start the new Geography year, I have created a new display with a number of images and questions to provoke discussion amongst my classes. The display aims to be somewhat interactive where students will be 'encouraged' to post their thoughts on the developing situation as well incorporating elements of literacy using key words to express feelings and emotions. For example, should those affected by called refugees or migrants? Why are Brits abroad known as expats and others are called immigrants? What's the difference between an expat and an immigrant? You can download the posters, literacy tasks and images from the links below and change the questions to suit your language requirements. Spread the word! #migrationS0W. Each of the posters below is A3 sized and has been laminated.
The rest of the unit of work can be found here.
