Just a quick one. Managed to update Year 7 tornadoes work, IB Global Interactions - Outsourcing and IB Hazards - Introduction. Using this site in partnership with Rich Allaway's GATW site to teach my IB Higher Level students.  Also managed to produce some resources for GCSE Population & Settlement unit. Updating this as I go along so it should take until May 2012. Again, using GATW for certain tasks - no point reinventing the wheel and the stuff on there is great and perfect for the OCR B Geog course. More soon although a busy week coming up with IB commission as well as Y11 then Y13 parents evening.

Been away all weekend with Year 13 students collecting data for their internal assessment. Just put together first and second lesson on GCSE Population for Y11 students. Nothing like a bit of last minute planning....

Just created a  lesson for my IB students on the Economic Interactions section (WTO, IMF and World Bank) that ultimately leads to the activities on the www.geographyalltheway.com site. Cartoon task and some interpretation of the current financial situation for the Year 12's to focus on. GCSE Volcanoes completed with Nevado Del Ruiz and Mount Etna case studies in place. I will be using some of Richard Allaway's excellent resources on Mt Etna including the Volcano Ski piece of work.

Managed to get some more work completed on the site. Today I have been uploading free to use photos for teachers and students to use without copyright. Map skills Y7 unit is now finished and all worksheets have been converted to PDF and uploaded. IB Core Patterns lesson 1 - Populations in transition has also been updated with some new tasks and I have been doing some teaching too! Nice to be back.

It's been a busy holiday and I haven't done much work at all. This evening I have uploaded some older resources that I no longer use. Currently, my colleague teaches Year 8 and we use the www.geographyalltheway.com course for this. I have uploaded some work on Italy, Kenya, Farming, Map Skills and Limestone landscapes. I am not sure how many schools still teach this but it may be of use to some. I plan to put together a SOW for Year 8 in the next 18 months and will update as I go along ..... Back to work
