Objective: To discover how economic development has affected the Pearl Delta in southern China.

OCR Textbook - pages 196-199.
Task 1 - Read the text on page 196-197 and complete activities 1-5. For the research link - Where are the world's most polluted places? - you might want to look at this site. Choose one of the most polluted places in 2013 and read the fact sheet taking notes on the causes and effects of the pollution and search for an image of the location too.
Task 2 - Put the title above into your books. Then scroll down to the Google Map and describe the location of the Pearl Delta in China on your A3 worksheet. Don't forget to talk about surrounding settlements, rivers and the sea.
