Using YouTube as a classroom tool
I am lucky enough to work in a school where YouTube is accessible to both students and staff alike. I am therefore able to use a huge number of resources that are massively valuable to my teaching.
Rather than loading up videos on the system, it has become possible to embed them within presentations or simply on this website. I have sourced many of the videos on this site and have been on several training sessions with Richard Allaway where he has provided information on effective use of this tool in a classroom setting.
I have copied many of the old school videos to the geographypods account. This can be accessed here.
To ensure that I always have access to these videos, I use the www.keepvid.com website to keep permanent copies of the most valuable films.
