How will your work be marked in Year 9?

Picture
Your assessments and project work will be marked according to the whole school assessment policy.

A* - Exceptionally strong knowledge and understanding
A - Very strong knowledge and understanding
B – Strong knowledge and understanding
C - Sound knowledge and understanding
D – Some knowledge and understanding
E - Basic knowledge and understanding
F - Rudimentary knowledge and understanding

If my work is marked with a code /10 what does it mean?
10 is the maximum mark and you should be aiming for the highest grade possible. But if you see a K, U, S or P, what do they mean?
K is for Knowledge
Have I recalled? Found the facts? Is it detailed? Is it complete?
U is for Understanding
Have I shown I understand what I have been taught? Can I interpret information? Have I explained?
S – is for Skills
Am I good at map skills? Can I use evidence effectively?
P is for Presentation
Have I taken care with my handwriting and diagrams? Have I written in pen and drawn in pencil?  Have I proof read it or done a spell
check if I have used the computer? Titles underlined? Name and form included?

Here is a copy of the recording sheet where you will record your assessment results.
